What Style Says About You by Satria Piningit

Although the old statement, "Never judge a book by its cover," should be true - many people still do judge you by how you look. In fact, what you wear says a lot about who you are - whether you want it to or not. To truly give people the right impression about the kind of person you are and the kind of personality you have, be aware of the statements your clothing makes and always make sure it illustrates the real you! Luxury Fashion is More Than Just a Price Tag When people think about luxury fashion, they often think about high-end, expensive clothing - but luxury fashion really has more to do with feeling luxurious - and this can be achieved (or not achieved) no matter how little (or how much) you spend. Think about how feeling luxurious in your clothes feels to you - you would probably feel so good about yourself and how you look that you would be in a cheery mood, regardless of the kind of day you had. You would also feel confident and able to face the day and the people you meet. You would want people to see you, because you feel like you look so good. You wouldn't necessarily feel overdressed or underdressed, and you wouldn't feel awkward, uncomfortable or embarrassed in your clothes. These are the kinds of outfits you should strive to have in your wardrobe - that way you can dress in luxury every day. Finding a Consistent Theme If there was one word you could use to describe yourself and the kind of person you want people to know you are, what would it be? Once you can answer this question, compare every piece of clothing you have or want to have to that one word - does the clothing convey that essence? For example, if you strive for a polished appearance, does the outfit look well-put-together and polished? If you are a creative person, does the outfit show you in a creative light - as though you are so imaginative and brilliant, you could come up with a masterpiece in a matter of no time? Whatever adjective you are trying to convey, let it be something you take the utmost pride in. Don't put yourself at the bottom of the ladder. If you want to be beautiful, have high standards for what you call beautiful. If you want to convey intelligence, have high standards for what you consider intelligent, and so on. By finding a consistent theme to work with in your clothing, you will not only always convey the type of person you are - but you will start to feel even more like that kind of a person too.
